I’ve started and ended things. I have looked ahead and looked back, sought Self on mountains, in what others reflect, in mirrors real and metaphorical, and carved deeply inward. Decades of beginnings and middles and endings proved that the Self in self-knowledge is constantly changing, and ideally, growing, but sometimes not. The right choice for me ten years ago is inappropriate today. I was there and can never be there again. I’m here.
I like digital art for convenience and immediacy, and I like physical art for duration and its effect on all of the senses. The cost of producing physical art and the difficulties of distributing it are barriers I'm not totally sure how to navigate but I'll try. All new Zines will be offered for presale, and what I print will be very high quality, and the price will be high. After the presale printing is done customers who missed it will be able to order a print-on-demand version for a lower price and necessarily lower quality (the automated technology just isn't very good).
Many of these essays were published digitally but not in print. Some were printed in a Zine or book, and some were written for this publication or held back for another project and finally seeing the light of day. All material has been edited and illustrated with new or more images.
